Blue Eyed Grass

Scientific Name: Sisyrinchium angustifolium
Height: 6-12 inches
Habitat: Full or partial sun, loam or clay soils, moist to average conditions
Spacing: 4-6 inches

This native plant is a member of the iris family. It has small star-shaped flowers with soft blue petals and yellow centers. It blooms anywhere from May to July. Because of its low profile, it makes a good edging plant. Blue Eyed Grass is a native species that attracts butterflies and makes good cut flowers.
