Height: 3-5 inches
Habitat: Acid soil, full sun to dense shade, sandy or loam soil, average to moist conditions
Spacing: 8-10 inches
Wintergreen is a Native Species and is an extremely hardy groundcover with aromatic foliage. Small edible red fruit appears in July and lasts through to April. Leaves are shiny green turning red-bronze October through April. Berries are a good source of food for wildlife.
