Ostrich Fern

Scientific Name: Matteuccia struthioptera var. pennsylvanica
Height: 3-6 feet
Habitat: Full sun to dense shade, prefers rich, moist woods
Spacing: 2'-2.5'

Ostrich Fern is a Native Species whose fronds are like giant ostrich feathers. It is a tough and hardy plant that can be used as an accent plant, under deciduous trees and along property lines and borders. This fern will spread, so plant it where there is room for it to grow.
