White Trillium

Scientific Name: Trillium grandiflorum
Height: 6-12 inches
Habitat: Prefers a rich, moist soil under a canopy of northern hardwood trees
Spacing: 10-12 inches

Trillium is a Native Species and is a common spring wildflower of moist Eastern woodlands. As the name implies, the plant contains 3 leaflets, 3 sepals and 3 white petals. Bulbs planted the first year or two usually build a root system. Flowers appear the third or fourth year.
