Columbine

Scientific Name: Aquilegia canadensis
Height: 1-3'
Habitat: Sand, loam. Partial sun to full shade. Dry to moist conditions.
Spacing: 15 inches

Columbine is a native species that has red and yellow flowers that are pollinated by hummingbirds. The attractive flowers are unusual because they hang upside down, and appear to dangle. They are often found in a woodland setting
and are an interesting accent for the backyard garden.
