CT - Blue Spruce

Scientific Name: Picea pungens
Height: 80-100 feet
Width: 20-30 feet (Crown)
Growth Rate: 8-14 inches per year
Habitat: Prefers a moist soil, is moderately shade tolerant, salt tolerant.
Spacing: Wildlife: 15'x15', 20'x20', Timber: 8'x8', 10'x10', Windbreak/Screen: 10'x10', 12'x12'

Colorado Blue Spruce's needles can be blue to silver blue. It is a good tree for wildlife cover and windbreaks. It is sensitive to salt and soil compaction.
