Trumpet Vine is a Native Species vine that grows in full sun to partial shade on most soils. It must be grown on a sturdy structure, because the vine becomes quite heavy. Its showy flowers have red petals and attract hummingbirds. The Trumpet Vine can be used for quick cover on fences, arbors and trellises because it grows quite fast. It should not be planted to grow on trees, as it may strangle the tree.
