Since 1941, the GTCD had served as a knowledge base for the natural resource needs of the local community. The GTCD works to keep our forests healthy, water clean, and parklands vibrant. The District also provides exciting nature education programs for children and families.
By supporting the Grand Traverse Conservation District with your tax-deductible contribution, you will receive our semi-annual newsletter Nature Notes, as well as invitations to special guided nature hikes and our annual Conservation Celebration!

The Wild Side Walkway
The Wildside Walkway pavers are create a beautiful entrance path to the Boardman River Nature Center, and are a great way to share your commitment to nature. Consider purchasing pavers as gifts, memorials, or honorariums. The retail value of the paver is $17. The remaining $83 is a tax deductible contribution. We encourage you to help MAKE A WALK TO THE WILD SIDE!
