The City Day Camp brought 48 students and 6 chaperons to the Grand Traverse Natural Education Reserve today for a general nature hike. Before the hike the children were able to look at preserved mammals, insects, birds, reptiles, and amphibians up close and learn about how they live. The children were split up into four groups and led by Mr. Tom, Miss Erin, Miss Cindy, and Miss Tesha along the Sabin Pond and Fox Den trails. Along the way they were able to observe native plants, trees, and wildflowers, the Boardman River, turtles, fish, and other animals. It was a beautiful morning to be outside and thanks to the City Day Camp for being such a wonderful and attentive group!
