Colleen Masterson joined the team at the Conservation District as the new Education Director in August, 2008. Colleen will bring a strong background in science education to the District, with experience in the development of education programs for students of all ages. She began her career in research, and has served as the Education Director at Inland Seas Education Association and the Education Coordinator at the Great Lakes Water Studies Institute. She also teaches at NMC and CMU as Adjunct Faculty. Masterson holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Windsor, a Bachelor of Education degree from the University of Western Ontario, and a Master of Science Degree from Michigan State University.
Colleen grew up on a farm in southern Ontario and attributes her love of the outdoors and respect for nature to this upbringing. She enjoys running, biking, swimming, and spending time with family and friends (canine and human).
