The Grand Traverse Conservation District, in partnership with the Michigan Alliance for Environmental & Outdoor Education (MAEOE), the Traverse Bay Area Intermediate School District, and MSU Extension-Leelanau, will be offering two Michigan Environmental Education Curriculum Support (MEECS) Workshops in February.  These workshops provide classroom teachers and other educators excellent resources and training for immersing students in nature. The Ecosystems & Biodiversity Workshop will be held Friday, February 6th from 12:00 until 4:00 pm, and the Energy Resources Workshop will be held Friday, February 13th from 12:00 until 4:00 pm.  Both workshops will be held at the Boardman River Nature Center, and the cost is $40.00 per workshop, which includes lunch and a complete classroom kit.
