Great Lakes Stewardship Initiative

GTCD is proud to be leading the effort to establish a Grand Traverse Regional Hub for Place-Based Education, designed to get K-12 teachers and students working directly with natural resource professionals, businesses and local government to make an impact on the region's water-related issues. Our next planning meeting will be held on September 22 from 4:30-7:30 p.m. at the Boardman River Nature Center. Teachers, students, parents and interested community members are all welcome to attend. Please RSVP to Colleen Masterson at cmasterson@gtcd.org or 231.941.0960. Dinner is provided and a $50 stipend is available.
