Nature North EE Consortium Held
The District manned a booth at the annual Nature North environmental consortium, which took place Sunday, May 18th at the Grand Traverse County Civic Center. Area environmental non-profits took the opportunity to provide hands-on kids activities and to promote their kids’ programs. We handed out Discovery Hikes brochures and promoted the opening of the Boardman River Nature Center in August. Kids who visited the booth were able to handle study skins and skulls of local mammals, and play the tactile game of “Can You Guess?”, as well as taking some handouts of home environmental activities.
We look forward to seeing many of the kids from Nature North at our Discovery Hikes this summer!
