Nature Scavenger Hunt Hike - July 31

Did you know that there are treasures hiding in the woods, waiting for you to find them? Well today that's just what the children did – they found nature treasure! Everything from pinecones, seeds, rocks, leaves, sticks, and litter went into the collecting bags of the 27 children we had on our hike today. The children had a great time roaming the forest floor in search of their treasures. After they collected all the materials on their list, they went back to the pavilion to use their imagination and the supplies they found to make a nature craft. After a couple gallons of glue the children produced 27 unique collages, bookmarks, pebble pets, and sculptures. It was a beautiful morning and a great end to this summers Kids Discovery Hikes! We hope to see all of you again next summer!
