No MDA Gypsy Moth Suppression Program for 2010

Gypsy Moth Caterpillars

Gypsy Moth Caterpillars

The Gypsy Moth Fall Egg Mass Survey has been completed for Grand Traverse County.  We visited over 45 permanent spray blocks throughout the County; areas that have been sprayed in past years and often have building populations. There are 53 areas of the County that have egg masses with the potential to have nuisance levels of caterpillars in 2010. The Michigan Department of Agriculture has informed us that there will not be a Cooperative Suppression Program in 2010.
