Rebecca has been with the District since 1997. She began as a summer
intern in '97 and '99. After graduating from Michigan State University with a B.S. degree in Zoology and Aquarium Sciences with a Specialization in Environmental Studies in 2001, Rebecca returned to the District as the Boardman River Watershed Technician. In 2003, Rebecca began a new role as the District's Development Coordinator, focused on raising the funds needed to complete the campaign for the Boardman River Nature Center.
Rebecca recently married Ben Purdy, the District's Land Management Specialist! Ben and Rebecca have two Doberman Pinschers and spend a lot of time enjoying our local parklands. Rebecca also teaches horseback riding lessons at the family farm.
