After lunch under the Oleson Pavilion, twenty-eight Salvation Army Campers took a custom nature scavenger hunt hike. The older kids were paired with the younger ones and helped them read from the list of items to find. Among the items were: pinecones, black rock, something round, something that makes noise, something fuzzy, acorns, chewed leaves, and something straight. The children roamed the fields and woods in search of their items then brought them back to the pavilion to make a fun nature craft. The children made collages, bookmarks, ladybug rocks, and sculptures all from the items they found outside! Great job kids, we were very impressed with your creativity! Keep exploring the outdoors and making nature art at home!
