Steve is originally from Traverse City and worked for 10 years after graduation from high school for a local construction firm before returning to school. He attended college at the University of Montana in Missoula, MT., where he received his BS in Wildlife Biology in 1990 with an aquatic emphasis. Other involvement included the Honors Program, a Watkins Scholar, Senior of the Year (1990), and the School of Forestry. He has served as the Director of the Boardman River Project since 1991.He enjoys hunting, fishing, mountain biking, winter camping, and spending time with his family.
