Thank you to Wild Birds Unlimited
The GTCD would like to thank Judy Barrett-Walters of the Traverse City Wild Birds Unlimited Store for the wonderful donation of a birdfeeding station. Early in June, birdfeeders, birdhouses, a birdbath, and bird feed were all set up on the grounds of the Nature Center. Soon after, many birds began enjoying the feeders and continue to fly about the area. Birds spotted include woodpeckers, goldfinches, sparrows, and bluejays. Thank you very much Wild Birds Unlimited! The birdfeeding station is positioned directly outside of the classroom windows, so visitors will be able to observe, identify, and enjoy birds as they arrive.
