Grab your dogs, your favorite shovel and head out to a couple of the parklands managed by the Grand Traverse Conservation District for the first annual 31dogs Poop Scoop. Everything that our dogs left behind over the winter is reappearing as the snow disappears and it is time to clean up!
Join us along with k9Landmine, 31dogs, and the Grand Traverse Regional Land Conservancy April 18-19 to help clean up some of our favorite dog walking areas in and around the city.
This will be an all day event starting at 8am – 4pm at each of the parklands listed below. Each of these locations will have gloves and bags at the trail head to help make the job a little bit cleaner. Bring your friends and your dogs to enjoy the trials while helping beautify it for the summer months to come.
- Hickory Meadows, Randolph Street to the end, West of Traverse City. (learn more)
- The Commons behind the Old State Hospital. (learn more)
- For those of you north of Traverse City, Maple Bay
If you would like to organize a clean-up in your area, please contact 31Dogs and we will work to provide you with the needed materials. Please remember that each of these locations are not leash free and we ask that you respect this.
For more information on the event, log onto 31dogs.com Please sign-up for your favorite location and which day you would like to help. 31Dogs will contact you with more information as the time nears.
Thank you and we look forward to seeing you and your dog at the trailhead!
