A Traverse City native, Rebecca graduated from Traverse City High School in 1996. While attending Michigan State University, she interned at the Conservation District during the summers of 1997 and 1999. She received a B.S. degree in Zoology and Aquarium Sciences with a Specialization in Environmental Studies in 2001. Rebecca Spends free time at the family farm on the Old Mission Peninsula raising and training horses, as well as with friends and family.
